Explore the Great Outdoors with Croydon Walking Club

Explore the great outdoors with Croydon Walking Club, a friendly Melbourne walking group. Our Friday walks start at 8:30 am or 9:30 am, with occasional 8:00 am departures. Unlike larger walking clubs, we offer a wide range of walks, from shorter suburban routes up to 8 kilometres to longer hikes in the hills and bush, reaching up to 20 kilometres. All walks are within a convenient drive from our base at the Yarrunga Community Centre in Croydon Hills.

At Croydon Walking Club, a leading Melbourne walking group, we prioritize safety by equipping our members with GPS and satellite phone support during remote walks, ensuring communication even beyond mobile coverage areas. We also organize carpooling from our meeting point to the walk’s starting location, fostering convenience and camaraderie among participants.

Visitors are very welcome to come on up to three walks (initially on a shorter walk) and are then expected to join the group. Please use the Contact us tab above for further information.

Membership Information

If you are considering trialling us with up to 3 walks, you will have to pay a Guest Registration fee and complete a Guest Registration form. Download a copy of the form by clicking the button below.

Club Fees

  • Our fees are $55.00 per year payable by end of March.
  • Our guest fees are $10.00 for the first 3 walks. After 3 walks guests are encouraged to become a full member.
